Mother's Day Goodies
Here are a few gift ideas to help you show Mom some love this Sunday! She will love the bold color contrast on the gorgeous monogrammed Suzani pillow. Instead of sending flowers, how about rose-scented perfume or bubble bath? New mom? Go with a classic charm bracelet from Altruette (a portion of the profit from charms benefit various causes.) Need a quick fix? It's an oldie but goodie, but I adore the Fresh Sugar Candle (Trish McEvoy's Wild Blueberry Vanilla candle runs a very close second).
Cheers to all the hard-working moms!

Try the Trend: Lace Print
I'm so in love with my new 7 for All Mankind Lace-Print Gummy Skinny jeans that I went in search of some other lace print goodies!
Rihanna looks stellar in Stella McCartney's pajama-inspired lace print ensemble, but you don't have to rock this trend head-to-toe. Try this Dolce & Gabbana scarf or these Valentino sunnies! I'd keep colorful prints, (like this Christopher Kane sweater) simple and pair it with white shorts or pants. The black and white prints are a little more versatile. I'd like to see the Buckle tee with bright colored denim. The McQueen bag is utterly versatile and would look fabulous with just about any color!
P.S. Just a few other items from Etsty that didn't make the original post (but had to share them with you)!

Things I Love: White Jeans That Fit
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being sheer torture), I'd say shopping for jeans is an 11. Shopping for white jeans generally scores a 20. Until now. I recently stumbled upon the DL 1961 Premium Denim line at Neiman Marcus. They are made of something called XFIT Lycra, which gives them a 4-way stretch (meaning no more dreaded saggy rear or bagged-out knees). The Cindy fit in Milk was my perfect fit... so flattering!

Run out and try on a pair. You will not be disappointed. Fans of the brand include Courtney Cox, Miranda Kerr, Blake Lively and January Jones.

Hot Colors: Orange + Bright Blue
I love orange. I usually keep it simple, pairing it with simple metallic shoes and accessories, but have been wanting to branch out a bit. Taking inspiration from a bright blue and orange chandelier, I put together a few items in this striking color combination.
See how these style setters do orange and blue:

Circling Back Around: Peplums
At last, the return of an 80's trend I can really get behind!
The word peplum often conjures up the image of a 50's inspired dress or skirt, but designers have updated and interpreted it for almost any style (ex: boho, streamlined, fashion-forward). Peplums are even turning up on rompers and swimwear!
For the most figure-flattering, make sure the waistline (or the top of the peplum) runs along the narrowest part of your waist. Avoid high-waisted styles as they can shorten your torso. Likewise, steer clear of drop waisted styles that can be unfriendly to your hips.
Check out celebs like Blake Lively, Kate Middleton, Jennifer Aniston and Michelle Williams wearing peplums on InStyle.com!
