Things I Love: White Jeans That Fit

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being sheer torture), I'd say shopping for jeans is an 11.  Shopping for white jeans generally scores a 20.  Until now.  I recently stumbled upon the DL 1961 Premium Denim line at Neiman Marcus.  They are made of something called XFIT Lycra, which gives them a 4-way stretch (meaning no more dreaded saggy rear or bagged-out knees).  The Cindy fit in Milk was my perfect fit... so flattering!

Run out and try on a pair.  You will not be disappointed.  Fans of the brand include Courtney Cox, Miranda Kerr, Blake Lively and January Jones.

Boyfriend jeans are still on-trend and are a stylish and super-comfortable option going into spring and summer!  To avoid crossing the line from chic to sloppy, keep a few rules in mind.

1. Jeans should sit low on the hips and fit should be slightly loose but not baggy.
2. Pair with a belt to keep the look more polished.
3. Leg should taper slightly.  Roll cuffs for maximum effect.
4. Slim-fitting or structured tops generally look best, but cropped jackets and sheer tunics work as well!

When pairing colors, your best bet is to stick with hues next to or directly across from each other on the color wheel.  If this much color scares you, neutral tones and metallics (champagne and silver) are an easy fix!
